David J. Drobes, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida and a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Drobes received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University in 1993, specializing in health/medical psychology. He completed his clinical internship at the University of Florida, followed by post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Florida (Clinical Psychophysiology) and the Medical University of South Carolina (Substance Abuse). He currently holds faculty positions at the Moffitt Cancer Center (Senior Member Emeritus) and the University of South Florida (Courtesy Professor). As a Certified Health Professional in Lifestyle Medicine, his clinical practice is focused on helping clients address psychological barriers to physical and mental health. His therapeutic orientation and modalities draw from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, positive psychology, and motivational interviewing perspectives.
